We have organized this event in order to enhance the quality and productivity of Primary Section education and fulfill the requirements of our upcoming agenda for year 2013

With the award winning children�s writer and illustrator Miss. Janaki Sooriyarachchi, we organized a very flourishing workshop for improving the creative skills of young Anandians� on Wednesday the 13th February 2013 at the College premises.

The workshop has given an opportunity to young Anandians to uncover, improve and shape their endangered skills of creative thinking, writing, composition and illustration while having some fun. More importantly this has changed their normal routine at school into really colourful event.

The workshop had two sessions. The first session addressed Grades 2 and 3 students on "how to write a story book with pictures". This was followed by another session for Grades 4 and 5 students on "how to improve creative writing and composing poems".

Both students and teachers of the primary section were touched by the professionalism of Ms. Sooriyarachchi for her way of conducting the workshop and they highly commended the effort of old Anandians.

The old Anandians� 94 group is hoping to organize similar workshops and literary competitions to keep up these youngsters� passion in art and literature in the long run. Because they are our future!
